Kid-Friendly Fun at the Children's Museum

The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut is located on Main Street in Niantic, Connecticut. St. John's Episcopal Church is located just across the street while two local cafes (Lillian's Cafe and Cafe Sol) can be found up the street. Close by are several other local businesses such as the Indigo boutique, Justina's Barber shop and the Coin Collector's Shoppe.
The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut (CMSC) is open for business from Tuesday through Saturday. Its hours on those days are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. On Sundays, it offers shorter hours from noon until 4:30 pm. During the autumn, winter and spring, the museum is closed on Mondays. However, during the summer, it is open on Mondays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Although open for some holidays, the hours and dates are limited.
The museum is dedicated to educational programs and experiences for children ages 9 months to 9 years. Older children and adults are welcome, but activities for those ages are not provided. That said, it is not uncommon to see an older child or an adult playing alongside a younger child and having just as much fun!
With 5,000 square feet of space all located on one floor, this local business is a perfect addition to the community. Mothers with infants in strollers and parents of children who need to use wheelchairs will find this museum an easy space to navigate. This includes both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the museum.
