Join us for the McGrailaPalooza Art and Music Festival! McGrailaPalooza is a gathering and celebration of the artistic talents of the McGrail family, extended family members, and close friends to be held July 13-15, 2018. It's also a great way for everyone to visit in a casual beach location!

This is a BYOB event. Your Palooza Pass covers admission for all events, refreshments, Saturday evening dinner, and entertainment. We ask both participants and guests to get a ticket to defray costs of this fun summertime event!

All events take place at the VFW hall, 39 Columbus Avenue, Niantic, CT.


Friday July 13

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

  • Meet and greet; light refreshments served.

8:00 PM - 10:00 PM

  • Introduction to McGrailaPalooza
  • Readings by Marguerite McGrail, Mary McGrail, Anne McGrail, Shawna Mullen, Lauren Sanders, Erica Ferencik, Julia Miller and others TBA. Interested in reading? Click here to get added to the program.

Saturday July 14

10:00 AM-12:00 PM:

1:00PM - 5:00 PM

  • Gallery viewing of art, paintings, photography, sculpture, and handcrafted items. Light refreshments served.

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

  • Pizza, wrap sandwiches, salad, seltzers and dessert served.

8:00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Dan McGrail acoustic set
  • Patrick McGrail performs "Pure Pop for Now People"

Sunday July 15

9:00 AM

  • Tir Na Nog 5K run/walk. Start and finish at VFW hall. Anyone can join...just show up!
  • Not interested in running? No problem, you can volunteer to work the water station, or simply cheer as loud as you can!

10:30 AM - 1:00 PM

  • Coffee, donuts, muffins, juice served.

2:00PM - 3:00 PM

  • Clean up and hang out.

Notice for Dog Lovers: Unfortunately no dogs are allowed at the VFW Hall. Keep in mind Niantic has a strict policy against dogs on any public beaches through Labor Day, including McCook Point Park down the street from our venue, as well as the Niantic Boardwalk.
